Robert Geller FW17

Sub-Zero only wishes he could look this cool. Robert Geller's FW17 runway looks at New York Fashion Week has earned the famed menswear designer applause for his innovative winter wear men's styles that incorporate Casio's sleek and sporty G-Shock G-Steel watches.

Geller's military and camouflage-based ensembles drew much attention, especially with additional hints of purple and pink fabric. Pale-toned silk pants were paired with edgy, contemporary styled shirts and outerwear. The addition of Neoprene ski masks in bright pink or purple hues and outlined with thick black lines bring to mind current events, especially protests against political changes in America.

The outerwear featured in Robert Geller's runway show included two-toned gloves, with one hue being more toned down on the hand and wrist area of the fabric. The colored fabric covering the fingers were bright neon shades, providing a pleasant, eye-catching contrast to the more muted tones throughout the ensembles. Also, several looks featured Russian Army style winter hats.

All looks consisted of multiple layers of shirts, sweaters, and jackets, reflecting how most of us who live in colder climates tend to dress in the winter. These ensembles are not just fashion-forward and somewhat politically-motivated; they are highly practical for cooler climates and show that men's winter wear can be stylish and comfortable.
