The ArtBeam Gallery is tucked away in a cozy neighborhood in Chelsea, NYC and is a hidden gem of an avant-garde studio. This gallery is one of the premier fashion locations for stylists and models to take some killer photos on amazing sets.
I decided to call this look “Urban Paradise” since the bomber jacket is reminiscent of a tropical getaway and sunny days filled with palm trees. The urban element comes into play since bomber jackets have been more popular than ever this fall, while my look as a whole was urban-inspired.
The Wall Street Journal fashion section reported a couple months ago on the return of this style: "Scaled-down motifs of tropical flowers such as pikakes, orchids and hibiscus or stylized 1950s souvenir-postcard scenes appear on muted neutral backgrounds of tan, brown or black."
It's tough to master a balance between relaxation and put-together sophistication. You don't want to look like you're trying too hard, but it's also important to draw attention to snappy fashion choices. For this look, I decided to make my bomber the focal point of attention and build my outfit around it.
