So you overslept and have that important meeting with a potential client this afternoon, or had one too many drinks at the bar last night.
Let's be real, choosing the right outfit to wear when running late, can be difficult. Your mind is steady racing and your thoughts only consist of activities outside of your closet. Instead of throwing on anything, keep these helpful tips in mind.
Grab Dark Colors!
Dark pants are always a plus to have in your wardrobe, especially black and gray. A mesh of dark colored clothing can portray an unintentional sophisticated look. I've had plenty of moments where I didn't have enough time to put a proper outfit together, but mixing different tones of grays and black have always done the trick.
Versatile Shoe Options

Depending on your destination, you have to quickly consider the best option for the scenario. If you have a lot of shoes, it can be difficult to go through your selection when pressed for time. Refer to staple footwear such as casual oxfords, a pair of leather Vans Slip-On's, Converse or chukka boots. Late to class? Not sure what's appropriate for Casual Friday at work? Any of the above styles should be a safe bet.
You Don't Have to Look Tired
When I had a late night out, I don't want that to read on my face. This is where Kiehl's Eye De-Puffer comes in. It's a convenient and portable item that provides an instant cooling sensation to the eyes, to relieve puffiness. Next time you have to run out the house without fully waking up, throw on some De-Puffer. Follow up with Kiehl's Facial Fuel Moisturizer and you're good to go.
Messy [Refined] Hair
Lastly, messy hair is an exception, as long as its styled the right way. Switching positions while sleeping often provides a cool effect and adds texture to your hair. Before heading out of the house, run a low shine pomade or wax with medium to high hold through your hair. Two of my personal favorites are American Crew Defining Paste and Paul Mitchell's Reformer.
